My 2002 Saturn was not worth $1200 to repair the A/C, then $800 or 1200 for the Body Control Module, and finally the fuel and water pumps for $1600. Ollie Hamiel: Based on simple math you will be ahead if you let you car go and just get another 2005 Aveo for 1300 :) In reality it is not that simple. By trading it in + down payment you well get new car with a monthly payment. (you can find one to lease under $200 for subcompact/compact cars).On other side your mechanic likely know you car from bottom up and will be able to fix it the way that y! ou won't have to worry about it for few years.
