Fritz Hawkey: well if you get it from your friend and it will work on the T-Mobile network then you DO NOT have to get internet. but that also means that if you want e-mail or blackberry messenger you'll have to talk to T-Mobile about adding a blackberry bundle. but by no means do you have to have a data plan, the only time you NEED one is when you sign a new contract and buy the phone direct from a store. other then that pop your sim card in and it should just start working.
