Vegans. What do you think of them?

Particia Thorton: I think they're deluded. But they have the right to be so that's fine. Just as long as they don't try to convert me or insult me I'm okay with it.

Mee Blumenfeld: some are nice , some are not , as with people in all walks of life

Irving Jordahl: They usally only are Vegans because they don't think animal should die because of them

Toshiko Reimers: "vegan" Alicia Silverstone eats pasta containing egg strangely enough, so if you asked her they'd all be okay to eat. American Beauty and some Barilla pastas are safe. Also, the Riboflavin in the flour used to make these pastas isn't guaranteed to be of plant origin. You have to email the companies to ask the source of the B 2 (riboflavin.) Even they might not know since they may use another manufacturer's flour and not their own. What a DR for the truth, go figure!...Show more

Rayford Latz: Amazing caring people with strong will power

Lindsey Zanardi: barilla is fine but no oth! er large brands.

Donovan Stallons: Do I have to answer four times?I think they are people. Some are really cool, some are less cool.

Venetta Coulbourne: I think they're the best =]

Devon Kalberer: Weeeelllllllllllll hmmm hardly a balanced diet.Better than nothing but only just.In fact next time,I'll eat the box.See if it's any improvement

Clement Viscarro: As individuals, I know many who are nice, normal people. As a discipline, I think it's generally an extremist position and I'm leery of anyone who exists in the realm of absolutes.

Booker Moros: There are none, meat is a bad source of protein because it contains fat, blood and veterinary hormones, plants provide plenty of protein and essential nutrients. Meat does not heal it just contributes to illnesses and life threatening diseases. The healing process is quickened up by eating lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and drink plenty of water. Meat contains toxins and drugs that slow you down, ! is hard to digest and is a burden to good health.

Carlee! Tangaro: Ha ha, there you go meat eating omnivore suckers!Meat doesn't have any healing properties to it! lol

Rolanda Merritt: It heals a hunger as no other food can.

Magda Vandergriend: Jeez my grammar is great. You get it though haha.

Refugio Gastineau: ahahahaha i love all these "it heals you soul" or "your tummy" answers. IT HEALS NOTHING. NADA. ZIP. ZILCH. :3 i love bein vegitarian :3

Alvaro Oare: No food has healing properties "sucker!"meat just provides easily digested nutrients.

Joni Ziak: What did you think of them? (Nutritionally and digestibility)

Booker Moros: I think vegans are informed. Most vegans choose to be so from a combination of knowing about what goes on in factory farming and vivisection, destruction and pollution of the environment caused by factory farming, or because they'd rather not have cancer, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, hardened arteries and many other ailments. Most Americans choose to be obliviou! s to these facts because anything that challenges their beliefs is brushed aside....Show more

Spencer Heidtbrink: Have to read the ingredients.

Launa Weingarten: Always check the labels doesn't matter what someone says always check the labels. People can miss something or claim something is vegan in their area when it might not be vegan elsewhere or might just not be vegan and they don't know their ingredients. Some pasta's contain eggs or even sometimes milk products or vitamins derived from animals and their products and potentially some can come from a parent company that tests on animals. It is always good to read labels anyway even if the package says vegan you should know what you are putting in and on your body or elsewhere where you are living.Plus sometimes looking at products you would think aren't animal free sometimes turn out to be just fine. I was looking at some wafers today and the entire line had animal products except the lemon creme wafers whi! ch just happened to not have any animal products. Was looking at some h! ot sauce flavored chocolate and thought there is no reason for this to be animal free and bing bang bosh not a single ingredient was from animals.---------@grayson and those who seriously think Alicia Silverstone is vegan (I think grayson was saying she isn't). Silverstone isn't vegan, people call her that and maybe she might call herself that but that doesn't make it so. You actually have to fit the definition to be vegan. It is a pretty easy one to fit but people cannot seem to do it:"The word 'veganism' denotes a philosophy and way of living which seeks to end the idea of animals as property and exclude all forms of intentional exploitation of, use of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing, research or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, including people and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from a! nimals."...Show more

Katheryn Skrobacki: There is only one "healing property" of meat and that is for people with blood sugar problems; it helps even the blood sugar. Otherwise, it shortens your lifespan and contributes to cardiovascular disease. I suppose someone will argue that meat contains iron which is necessary for human life. But iron can actually be gotten in more abundance from vegetable sources so the point is invalid.

Shan Lanen: American Beauty Pasta

Roxane Leathers: If by pasta, you mean Italian style noodles, then yes they're *usually* vegan (basic ingredients are flour, water, and a bit of salt), but not always. Most dry, boxed ones are, but if you buy the refrigerated type, they could have eggs in them, or even dairy. My mom buys refrigerated angel hair that has eggs in it. I've seen some frozen gnocchi that has eggs or dairy in it as well. Even some boxed pasta isn't vegan, so you should always read ingredients anyway. As for other nood! les, some Asian noodles have eggs in them, and obviously "egg noodles" ! aren't vegan. :)...Show more

Adelle Weight: Some have eggs. Check the label.

Dewey Heersink: Healing properties of meat ... well, it _can_ solve protein deficiency and, in cases of an iron deficient diet, solve issues with anemia related to iron poor blood.Just as an aside, it's people like you who give veggie folks a bad name by being overwhelmingly confrontational and showing your stupidity. I'm vegetarian, but I'm not going to ignore the truth about omnivorous diets or refer to omnivorous folks as "suckers". There are _some_ benefits to an omnivorous diets, and going veggie or being omnivorous is a personal choice - it's not something you can force.

Aron Ramu: Meat heals your soul.

Rodrigo Pezley: I think the ones I know are fab people.

George Dingeldein: The one's I know are great people who just happen to have different beliefs than myself. No different than Christians to my atheism. Other races to my white. Short to my tall. Blonde to m! y dark hair. Oh but those White Sox fans, they are just toooo much!!...LOLYou judge people as individuals, not what the lack of information and intolerance has formed your stereotypes into....Show more

Miguel Koczela: Could it be that red meat -- wonderful, juicy, stick-to-your-ribs red meat -- might actually have healing properties, other than the obvious way it makes your taste buds come alive? Why yes, yes it could. But you must honor the word "lean" in front. You may need to cast meat as a bit player rather than the main character in your meals (sorry, but that means no more eating an entire 16-ounce steak in one sitting). Lean red meat, including beef, veal, and pork (sometimes referred to as "the other white meat"), can indeed be part of a healthful diet. They contribute nutrients that may help you maintain good health and prevent or even fight disease.Beef, veal, and pork are packed with high-quality protein. They are also a nutrient-dense source of iron and zin! c, minerals that many Americans have trouble getting. While it is possi! ble to get enough iron or zinc without eating meat, it's not easy. Eating lean meat is also a dandy way to get vitamin B12, niacin, and vitamin B6. So, including some lean meat in your diet can be nutritionally uplifting.

Raye Tredennick: I admire what they do to avoid eating animal products. It takes a lot of research and effort to completely steer clear of non-vegan items.

Scot Sepulbeda: Some might contain eggs. Read the label to see what the ingredients are.

Ricardo Rozelle: I don't think meat has healing properties. When we were first evolving as primates we were herbivores. It was when (we think) we ate meat, and especially cooked meat, that we had enough energy and protein to really grow our brain. With out meat I wouldn't be answering your question, I would be picking tics out of your hair. Also meat allowed us to grow fat easier which allowed us to travel into northern lands and survive winters. This let us move across the world and become the supe! r race we are today. So I guess even though it doesn't have healing problems it has helped out our species immensely.

Claude Gloden:

Antonette Shappy: or do they contain or any animal products?

Maynard Reevers: High iron & protein content, source of B12 if the person in question doesn't eat a varied diet that includes fortifications of B12.Good source of energy, Travis Barker after his plane crash incident ate meat as a way to boost his energy & help speed up healing despite him being vegan, he immediately went back to a vegan diet however when given the all clear (if not before). Whether his choice was medically sound, i do not know nor really care. He has been a vegan for most his life if i recall correctly.I'm not going to say meat is a piece of s*it, it has quite a large number of bad things to it such as its link with diseases & fats etc. But as a food source it also does contain a select small few nutrients in quite good abundance, As to whether it c! ompares to a high vegetable/bean/fruit/nut diet is a debate in itself. ! But meat as a source of energy/protein/iron can in cases be of benefit for ''healing''.
