RE: Lowprofile gaming card?

Thomas Riner: Clearly said I have a AGP 8x or PCI slot available, not PCI-e!I got a i945P/PL/G/GZ from Dell optiplex gx520 dt.

Emile Midgley: AGP 8X on the GX520?? Intel i945P chipset supports PCIe not AGP;http://ark.intel.com/chipset.aspx?familyID=8764Just click on Block Diagram. And the GX520 DT and SFF do not have a graphics expansion slot, only PCI slots (on riser). It is the mini tower variant that has x1 PCIe slot.http://www.dell.com/us/en/dfh/desktops/optix_gx520...Your only graphics upgrade option is with a PCI card. 3D gaming would not be really good on a PCI card because the PCI bus is inherently slow for 3D graphics acceleration. The GX520 is a business desktop that was never intended for gaming....Show more

Letitia Bigelow: Is it a PCI slot (white) or a PCI-E slot (black and backwards from pci)?If it is a PCI-E, get a geforce 7 series. The 8 and 9 series (8000, 9000) are pretty big, 8-10 inches. I have a geforce 880gt, and a 9600gso. They are about ! 1 foot each, but I also have a 7300le and it is only about 5-6 inches
