Dexter Dicostanzo: Well, obviously if poor people can go to a university and get a degree, that will promote equity, because they will have a better job than their parent(s) did, on average, and be able to make it into the middle class or better.Efficiency? I don't know what you mean by that. Helping poor kids go to college prevents the massive waste that happens when smart kids can't go to college and could have maybe made more significant contributions to society if they had the education to go with the smarts. Otherwise, maybe they end up managing a fast food restaurant, but maybe could have developed cures for diseases or something....Show more
