Antonia Boomershine: I don't think so.But it's possible, remember that the english invaded India many years ago.
Ricardo Rozelle: oh my goodness...I'm amazed at your question.....to start with I'm an Indian....and i studied in an English medium school....from kindergarten till my university.most of the schools in India have English as the medium of instruction.haven't you seen or heard Indian nationals speaking English.though Indians may have a strong accent....grammar is good.maybe English is one of the remnants of the British rule for 100 over years in India.by the way....if a student starts to learn English(AB CD...) in the university level....when do you expect him or her to finish the degree....maybe in their 40's??...Show more

Hence, of course, the classes are also taught in the respective languages. The option also depe! nds on location within India, as not all Indian languages are ! spoken all over India. So a student from say, Kerala, would not have the option for classes in Malayalam if s/he was studying in Delhi. Btw, Kerala is a state in southern India, where Malayalam is the language that most people speak and Delhi (or New Delhi) is the Indian capital, where Hindi is the majority language. But yes, English is the language of preference for most students, since it is fast emerging as the global language and people see themselves as having better market value if proficient in English....Show more
