Melvin Nakama: true. but at other times, false. the guy said a lot of things over his lifetime. he also smoked a lot of hashish. would you want people to hold you accountable for everything you ever said, especially those things you said whilst high on hashish, especially when you were often high on hashish?the caveat is: his philosophy provided absolute truth only for those things for which it provided absolute truth. it didn't cover the vast majority of stuff that other philosophers have discussed / argued about. however, it did (in my and many others' humble opinions) cover most of what's important to people trying to deal with modern life.of course, people will always argue if there is an absolute truth, what it is, and if N saying that there is no absolute truth and then explaining the absolute truth constitutes any attempt to convey any truth or is just intellectual masturbation.philosophy is to art as art is to science....Show more
