Hueneme High athletic director shot dead (Ventura County Star)

Dave Laut, Hueneme High School’s athletic director and a former Olympic shot putter, was shot to death outside his Oxnard home about midnight Thursday when he reportedly went to investigate noises in his backyard, police said.
